Three Universal Characteristics of Friendship

Stop for just a moment and think about your best friend. You can probably picture that person clearly in your mind. As you hold on to that image, I want you to notice what it is specifically that you like about this person. All friendships are based on:

1.Similarity

2.Cooperation

3.Praise

1. People like people whom they perceive as being similar to themselves. You and your bestie have things in common.

2. The next ingredient that ensures people will like each other is cooperation. It is an absolute necessity. Without cooperation, there can be no basis for friendship.

3. Praise is the third factor in making one person like another. The importance of praise is obvious. People like to be praised, complimented and recognized for their achievements.
