Bored?

Growing up, my siblings and I knew there were certain things that wasn’t said, for instance the words “Shut up”. If those words were spoken our parents immediately corrected us. “I’m bored” was another, my parents would cringe if they heard that phrase. There was always something available to do. To say we are bored at any moment in our lives is a massive insult to God, but to say we are bored at Mass takes the insult to a whole new level. If you are ever bored look for a way to get outside yourself and serve others. Read to the blind, volunteer at a hospital or retirement home, read to the kids in the library during the children’s’ hour. Help a neighbor bring in groceries or with the gardening.
