Gratitude- The Ultimate One Page Guide

How do I practice gratitude?

Here’s my daily habit:
→    I look at 4 photos and say “Thanks”.

Now the question is:
→   What photos?
Let me break down my daily gratitude in 4 steps.

1.    Every day, as part of my morning routine, I grab four photos.
Physical photos, not digital.
Why?
Because I don’t use tech devices in my first hour.

2.    Then I look at them, one at a time, for about 30 seconds.

These 4 photos are:
→    My dad’s photo
→    My mom’s photo
→    My late grandpa’s photo
→    My other late grandpa’s photo

3.    During these 30 seconds I do one simple thing:
→    I just think about how they lived.
So,
→    I think about how my dad lived
→    I think about how my mom lived
→    I think about how my grandpa lived
→    I think about how my other grandpa lived

This helps me to put everything in perspective.
Why?
Because they had no possibility of “having a life”.
→    My dad had to leave school at 14 to make money for my grandparents
→    My mom had to leave school at 14 to make money for my grandparents
→    My grandpa had to leave school at 10 to make money for my grand-grandparents
→    My other grandpa had to leave school at 10 to make money for my grand-grandparents

Instead:
→    I HAD the possibility of “having a life”.

I didn’t have to work to support my parents.
This doesn’t mean it was easy.
It just means that I had the possibility of “having a life”.

4.    After these 30’’ seconds by thinking about their lives, I simply do this:
→    I say “Thanks”.
So, 4 “Thanks” in total.
