Depressed-Break The Cycle

Feeling depressed?
Let’s try these 5 solutions:

1.    Exercise
Depression and “lack of action” go hand in hand, right?
So why don’t we start exercising every day?
As we know, when we exercise, our body releases endorphins.
This means we’re gonna change our mood immediately.
Are you with me that when you feel depressed you’d like a bit of energy?

Well, when you start to exercise, you’ll tell me:
→    “Hey, now I feel more energized!”

2.    Meditation
I practice Zazen, the meditation of Zen Philosophy.
What about you?
What? Are you still not meditating?
Why?

Do you know that meditation helps us to:
→    Be in the present moment
→    Eliminate negative thoughts
→    Improve our relationship with our emotions?

Did you know that?

Well, when you start to meditate, you’ll tell me:
→    “Hey, now I feel more centered!”

3.    Nature

Have you been to the mountains?
Are you serious?

Now the question is:
→    Why am I talking to you about the mountains?

Well, did you know that nature can:
→    reduce our stress
→    improve our mood
→    bring calm to our mind?

Did you know that?
Well, be ready!

When you start to spend some time in nature every day, you’ll tell me:
→    “Hey, now I feel more serene!”

4.    Sleep routine
Do you have a sleep routine?

You know, a pre-bedtime routine where:
→    you meditate
→    you do stretching
→    you practice a breathing technique
→    you say thanks to the stars out there
→    …

As you know having a sleep routine helps us to:
→    improve our sleep
→    drive away insomnia
→    and regulate the circadian rhythm
Wanna bet something?

When you create a sleep routine (and stick to it), you’ll tell me:
→    “Hey, now I feel more refreshed!”

5.    Time with friends
Did you know that loneliness can trigger depression?

And did you know that spending time with friends can help us to:
→    build social connection
→    build emotional support
→    and build a sense of belonging?
Yep!

So when you start to spend some time with friends, you’ll tell me:
→    “Hey, now I feel more connected!”

When we feel depressed, we exactly need to feel:
→    more energized
→    more centered
→    more serene
→    more refreshed
→    more connected

So, take a moment and ask yourself:
→    “Which solution do I want to start with?”
 ●    Excercise
 ●    Meditation
 ●    Nature
 ●    Sleep routine
 ●    Time with friends

Let’s remember: our wellbeing is in our hands.
