5 Positive Effects of Resilience on Your Brain

How to build resilience?
I wanna give you a special exercise — something new.
It has to do with laughing.
“Laughing?”
Yeah, laughing.
Laughing has been found to boost resilience.
The more positive emotions we experience daily, the more resilience we build.
Let’s get to the exercise.

1.    First off, you need a 10-minute slot each day for the next 30 days.
For example:
→    8:30 pm – 8:40 pm, every day

2.    Alright! In those 10 minutes, do this:
→    Write down the three funniest things you’ve experienced that day.
You might have experienced them, or seen them, or heard them.
It doesn’t matter — you just need to write them down.
For example, three funny things could be:
→    Watched a funny video on YouTube
→    Saw something funny my colleague did
→    Saw a funny situation on the train between two people

And if you haven’t experienced funny things, do this:
→    Go on YouTube
→    Watch 3 funny videos 🙂

3.    Okay! We’ve written WHAT made you laugh.
Now, for each of those things, jot down HOW they made you feel.
For example:
→    It made me joyful
→    It made me curious
→    It made me carefree

4.    Now, for each of those things, jot down WHY you found them funny.
For example:
→    It was funny because I realized how…
→    It was funny because it’s incredible how much…
→    It was funny because those two people really thought that…
You just need to write down these three funny things at the end of your day.
Like when we write the three things we’re grateful for each day.
This way:
→    You’ll create a new positive habit in your life
→    You’ll absorb positive emotions before going to bed
→    And of course, you’ll build resilience
Resilience and positive emotions go hand in hand.
We just need to be more aware of them
