Guilty About Taking Time Off

Do you feel guilty about taking time off?

I used to worry constantly about falling behind, even during weekends or holidays. But I’ve learned that taking breaks isn’t a reward—it’s essential. It fuels creativity, decision-making, and resilience.

Personally, four hours of deeply focused, productive work each day is my sweet spot. Beyond that, I shift to lower-priority tasks or take breaks entirely, as I’ve found pushing beyond doesn’t add much value.

Setting boundaries and taking breaks isn’t slacking; it’s what allows us to keep showing up at our best. Your well-being isn’t a reward; it’s essential to achieving your goals.
