The Power Of Sleep-How Sleep Transforms Your Health
Why do I sleep 8 hours a day?
Let me tell you the 3 reasons why I sleep 8 hours a day.
And what happened when I was a personal trainer.
1. Sleep boosts my creativity.
Why?
Because I am working as a life coach
And when you’re a life coach, you know two things for sure:
→ You’ll have clients at 8 AM — before they go to work.
→ You’ll have clients Saturdays — after work.
In short:
→ You can’t wake up after 6 AM.
→ You can’t go to bed before 10:30 PM.
So, for 5 years, I slept from 11 PM to 6 AM — Monday to Sunday.
Results?
Not bad in terms of performance.
But bad in terms of creativity.
Of course, at that time, I didn’t need a lot of creativity.
But now, looking back, I’m shocked by how little creative I was.
Especially compared to now
2. Sleep boosts my focus.
I don’t wanna say that sleep makes me more energetic.
I think energy is something I’ve always had.
Probably thanks to my parents’ DNA.
Thanks Mom/Dad
But one thing is for sure:
→ If I sleep 5 hours, I can’t stay focused throughout the day
Now, your question might be:
→ So, you weren’t focused as a life coach?
Yeah, probably.
When you’re a life coach, you do need a lot of focus.
You need energy, too.
But now, focus really matters in my life.
That’s why I sleep 8 hours a day!
3. Sleep helps me make better decisions.
Do I need to make key decisions as a life coach?
Sometimes, no — fortunately.
I can’t make decisions with just 5 hours of sleep.
Or rather, I can — the problem is the quality of those decisions.
Right?
These are the three main reasons why I sleep 8 hours a day:
→ More creativity
→ More focus
→ Better decision-making
