How to maximize your potential?

I wanna reply to you by picking step n°11 of the Ladder:
→    Take weekly steps beyond your comfort zone to facilitate rapid growth.

By the way, 11 is also my lucky number.
Anyway, let me tell you what I do when I wanna grow.
I’ll break it down into 3 steps.

1.    When I wanna grow, I often do this:
→    Every week, I take a new step that forces me to step out of my comfort zone.

It’s a “sport principle” I learned through sports.
For example, let me tell you one thing I’m doing here on LinkedIn.
Just to give you a practical example.

2.    So, to improve the quality of my content, I’m doing this:
→    Every Saturday I take a 15-minute slot
→    And I reflect on one new, small step I can take the next week


The single goal of that step is to bring you more value through my content.
To improve the content’s quality.
I’ve been doing it for about 8 weeks now.

For example, in the last few weeks I did three “experiments”:
→    I tried the new format
→    I tried to create more minimalistic content
→    I tried to use the same brand’s colors
As you know, when you challenge yourself, not every “test” is gonna work.
It’s part of the game, right?

For example, in my case:
→    Test n°1 and 3 went well.
→    Test n°2, instead, went bad.

So, those three experiments allowed me to:
→    Win 2 times
→    Lose 1 time

But more importantly, they allowed me to:
→    Learn and grow 3 times
3.    Now your question is:
→    Okay, but why are you telling me this?

Well, because sports taught me this:
→    You can’t break through your current limits if you don’t challenge yourself

One of the best ways to maximize your potential is by testing new things.
And if you act fast like me, you may wanna test new things every week.
In sports, we call them “weekly sprints”.

And one of the most important parts is this:
→    No judgment is accepted

We just need to try and accept this:
→    It’s impossible to win every time

Sometimes we’ll win; sometimes we’ll lose.
But the funny thing is that we can learn from both — wins and losses.
Maybe even more from losses.

So, coming back to your question:
→    Take weekly steps that force you to step out of your comfort zone.

And learn from them.
It will work!
