If we want more positivity we need to track it, right?
So let’s see how you can give it a try.

1.    Grab your journal.
It will help you answer a series of questions.
Specifically, you’ll answer three questions for each positive emotion.

Today we’re gonna work on 3 special emotions:
→    Joy
→    Love
→    Hope
In short, you’ll need 9 pages — 1 for each question.

2.    Now I’m gonna tell you:
→    3 questions per emotion
→    An example for each question.

Okay?

All you need to do is write the 9 questions in your journal.
Over the next few days, you’ll answer them.


Let’s see how it works:
→   Joy

1.    When have you felt utter joy?

1.    I felt utter joy when my baby sister was born.

2.    When was everything at its very best?

2.    Everything was at its very best when I started my first job.

3.    When have you felt that warm glow of complete happiness?

3.    I felt the warm glow of complete happiness when I spent a sunny day at the beach with my friends.
→   Love

1.    When have you felt the deepest connection with another person?

1.    I felt the deepest connection with my best friend Zoe when we shared our deepest secrets.

2.    Can you describe a moment when you experienced overwhelming feelings of love and affection?

2.    I experienced overwhelming feelings of love and affection when my partner surprised me with a heartfelt love letter.

3.    How do you express love to others, and when do you feel most loved in return?

3.    I express love to others by giving them hugs and spending quality time together.
I feel most loved in return when my family tells me they’re proud of me.
→   Hope

1.    When have you felt full optimism and hope?

1.    I felt full of optimism and hope when I got accepted into my dream job.

2.    When have you feared the worst but still believed something good would happen?

2.    Even though I feared the worst, I still believed something good would happen when I faced a challenging situation at work during Project X.

3.    When have you found an inventive way to try and create a better future?

3.    I found an inventive way to try and create a better future when I started a community garden project to promote sustainability in my neighborhood.

It feels good to read these simple sentences, right?

So, all you need to do is:
→   Taking some time
→   Answering the questions
→   Reading your answers every day
→   And, if you’d like, take other time in the future to revisit your answers.
Of course, you can do it for other positive emotions.

But for now, let’s start with them, okay?
As we know, the fastest way to bring more positivity into our life is to be aware of our current positivity.
