How to crush it in your career?
What I can tell you is the trait of many elite athletes.
I think it works both in sports and in business.

The trait is…
→    “The Ambitious Humbler”
Yep, we can be both ambitious and humble.

There are few things I believe in more than this magical mix:
→    Ambition + Humility.
Let’s see their 6 traits — in my opinion.

1.    To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “self-aware”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Know our strengths
→    Know our weaknesses
→    And embrace our uniqueness and use it as a competitive advantage

2.    To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “grateful”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Appreciate the support we receive
→    Appreciate the opportunities that come up in our life
→    And recognize the role of others in our success – and be grateful for that

3.    To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “open-minded”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Be receptive to feedback
→    Be excited to explore new ideas
→    And constantly seek opportunities to learn something new

4.     To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “collaborative”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Work well with others
→    Put teamwork before individuality
→    And not overvalue individual recognition
5.     To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “driven”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Set ambitious goals
→    Be obsessed with our “why”
→    And be motivated by the desire to make a positive impact

6.     To be an Ambitious Humbler, we need to be “modest”.

Meaning we need to:
→    Remain grounded
→    Respect opponents/competitors
→    And not seek attention or praise for our achievements

This last one is probably the most important trait of all.

It shows:
→    No insecurities
→    High self-esteem

Right?

So yes, we can be both ambitious and humble.
And it’s probably one of the best ways to build a competitive advantage.
Both in sports and in business.
