Emotional Energy-The Ultimate MATRIX to Peak Performance
How do I keep my energy high?
There are many things!
All my life is based on managing my energy.
I believe more in energy management than time management.
Anyway, here are 4 things I do:
(something new compared to my other posts)
1. My first hour of the day is in complete mute mode.
What do I mean?
I mean that during my morning routine (1 hour), I don’t talk.
Why?
Because I wanna preserve my mental energy for the first work hour.
I know it sounds silly, but it works for me.
2. Last week I added 10 minutes of HIIT to my morning routine.
HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training.
In short, I run in place for 10 minutes.
But here’s how I do it:
→ 1 minute slow, with medium heart rates (about 120-130)
→ 1 minute fast, with high heart rates (about 160-170)
And I repeat this cycle 5 times, totaling 10 minutes.
Now your question is:
→ Have you seen any results?
My answer is YES, immediately!
I immediately felt the difference.
I have more mental clarity and energy in the first work hour.
3. About four years ago, I went from:
→ Eating 7 times a day and having a classic lunch and dinner
to now:
→ Eating 7 times a day but skipping lunch
In short, I turned my lunch into a small meal, like my other “snacks”.
It was a complete game-changer.
From that day, I’ve completely eliminated that bit of drowsiness after lunch.
So now, my energy level is pretty much the same all day.
4. At this moment, I start working at 5:00 am.
Don’t judge me, please 🙂
Even though my energy levels are pretty consistent, I’ve noticed this:
→ At 9:00 AM I have a small drop in energy
So, what do I do?
I drink one coffee at 8:50 — and another one at 10:50.
This helps me stay energized and focused for the next few slots.
Meaning:
→ The slot from 9:00 to 10:00
→ The slot from 11:00 to 12:00
Thanks to that, now I can schedule high-energy activities during those slots.
Oh, just one more thing:
→ I’m taking for granted the fact that I drink 8 liters of water a day.
Coffee is okay, but water is even more important!
