How to trust your gut feelings?

I’m a big believer in intuition.

I’d say all my big decisions in life were made by intuition.

That doesn’t mean all of them were right 🙂

I personally found Zen meditation very helpful.

As you might know:
→    Our bodies often respond to decisions before our conscious mind fully processes them

So, every kind of mindfulness can help.
It’s all about paying attention to our sensations, like:
→    Tension
→    Relaxation
→    A sense of ease

These can signal our subconscious feelings about a choice.
So, here’s an exercise you can try.

Let’s dive into it.

1.    To start, sit somewhere calm where you won’t be disturbed.
Like a cozy chair or a spot on the couch.
Even outside in nature is perfect.

2.    Now, close your eyes.
Take a few slow, deep breaths.
This helps you relax and clears your mind a bit.

3.    Alright! Now, pick a small decision you need to make today.
Like whether to have tea or coffee.
Or which book to read next.
The goal is to keep it simple.

4.    Now, as you think about the options, do this:
→    Pay attention to how your body feels
Do you feel a slight tension?
Or maybe an ease in your chest?

Or in your stomach?
Or on your shoulders?
Our intuition often shows up as physical sensations.

5.    Now, ask yourself:
→    What feels right for me?
Tea or coffee?
Which book?
Notice any immediate thoughts or feelings.
Does one option feel lighter than the other?
Or maybe a little more comfortable?

6.    Okay! To wrap up, jot down what you noticed.
Did you feel more drawn to one choice over the other?
How did your body react?
Writing it down helps you keep track of your feelings over time.

7.    Great job! The exercise is over.
But as you go through your day, do this:
→    Pay attention to how your choices align with your gut feelings
The more we practice, the easier it will be to trust our intuition.
