4 Positive Effects of Self-Esteem on Your Brain

How to feel good about yourself?
For the next 7 days, try this:
1.    Take 10 minutes in the evening
2.    Grab your journal
3.    Write down the answers to the following 7 “prompts”.

→    Day 1 – “I mean a lot to…”
For example:
“I mean a lot to my family, especially my little sister.
She always looks up to me.
And knowing that I can be there for her makes me feel important.”

→    Day 2 – “I feel good about my…”
For example:
“I feel good about my ability to make people laugh.
It’s like my superpower.
I don’t know why, but I can spread happiness even on the toughest days.”

→    Day 3 – “I’m naturally gifted at…”
For example:
“I’m naturally gifted at connecting with animals.
Especially with cats.
There’s something about their presence that just soothes me.
And the funny thing is, they seem to understand me too.”

→    Day 4 – “I like who I am because…”
For example:
“I like who I am because I always try to see the good in others.
It helps me be more compassionate.
And I can understand people very well.”

→    Day 5 – “I really admire myself for…”
For example:
“I really admire myself for never giving up on my ambitions.
Even when things get tough, I keep pushing forward.
Why?
Because I know I’m capable of achieving great things.”

→    Day 6 – “I think I’m pretty good… because…”
For example:
“I think I’m a pretty good listener because I genuinely care about what others have to say.
It’s important to me that people feel heard and supported.”

→    Day 7 – “The characteristics I’m most proud of in myself are…”
For example:
“The characteristics I’m most proud of in myself are my resilience and determination.
No matter what life throws at me, I find a way to bounce back stronger than before.”
This simple exercise is gonna make you aware of your uniqueness.
And you’ll start cultivating your self-esteem.
And of course, it will make you feel good about yourself.
Then, after 7 days, you can repeat your answers out loud before bedtime.
And even just waking up.
It will work.
