Hour by Hour
An hour of work might be the most ordinary thing, in every town, city, suburb in the world. Everyday all people everywhere get up and go to work, do you ask why? In order to explore this meaning of work, we have to ask ourselves what’s the purpose of work, the primary purpose. Making money? No, that’s another outcome. The purpose of work is to help us become the best version of ourselves. Working hard, paying attention to detail and doing a good job, you grow in many virtues such as patience, diligence, perseverance, and integrity. Growing in virtue you become a better you. As Christians we are called to transform every activity in our lives into a prayer. This is how we become a better self and live holy lives. Resistance hates ordinary, everyday action. Resistance likes to distract us, make us thing things we can’t do anything about. Every activity can be transformed into prayer. Offer each hour or activity of you day to God as a prayer for a special intention. At the top of every hour sit back, breathe and give the hour to God. This will change your life.
